In October 2020, Pearson-Kelly Technology was announced as one of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award Finalists. This award honors five small businesses in and around Springfield, Missouri who show resilience, a dedication to our business community and an entrepreneurial spirit that makes this region a great place to do business and create jobs.

Small businesses have always been vital to our economy, and that’s never been truer than it is right now. These companies are amazing examples of the resilience of the people who keep these small businesses going through all kinds of adversity, and we’re thrilled to be able to honor them.
-Matt Morrow, president of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce

The finalists will be celebrated at the Chamber’s virtual Good Morning, Springfield! on November 5, and the winner will be announced at the virtual Small Business Award event on November 11. The event will be streamed from the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center.

Finalists are chosen from businesses across the southwest Missouri region who submit applications composed of essays on company history, management philosophy, responses to challenges, innovation in product and service offerings and contributions to the community. An independent panel of judges evaluated each application and choose the five finalists:

  • Pearson-Kelly Technology
  • OMG Commerce
  • Academy of Hair Design, Inc.
  • Oz Air Charter Service
  • Volt Credit Union
